PRIM TOURBILLON

Limited editions

In PRIM Tourbillon’s watch series, we honor outstanding personalities in our history, who have embraced our country and its glory beyond our borders. At important moments of history, we have already introduced our successful PRIM Tourbillon T. G. M., Comenius and Leoš Janáček models. We also remembered the seventh anniversary of the birth of the “father of the homeland” of Charles IV, one of the most prominent Czech kings, to whom we commended another of the limited editions.

The royalty of watchmaking complications

Tourbillon

Tourbillon is a mechanism that compensates for the influence of gravity on the accuracy of watch movements. It is a mechanical anchor mechanism, located inside a movable platform with centralized inertia, which rotates around its own axis once a minute, thereby providing a change in the position of the flywheel relative to the Earth’s core. This is one of the “high” clockwork complications of so-called Haute Horlogerie. It was invented by A. L. Breguet in 1795. Tourbillon watches are only offered by high-quality watch brands, and are indicative of the brand’s standards.

T. G. M. and Comenius

The PRIM model series, which for the first time in the history of the PRIM brand uses a mechanical movement with a royal complication, the so-called flying tourbillon.

PRIM Tourbillon T. G. M. and PRIM Tourbillon Comenius are a tribute to prominent personalities and giants of Czech history: Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, the first Czechoslovak president and Jan Amos Komensky, teacher of the nations.

Leoš Janáček

To celebrate the silver jubilee of MPM-Quality, PRIM prepared a limited, exclusive collection of women’s watches – PRIM Tourbillon Leoš Janáček. This successful edition Lady’s was followed by a series for men a year later. The whole collection was created in honour of the world-famous composer and representative of Czech music Leoš Janáček. We are connected with the famous composer not only through the same region in the Beskydy foothills, but also through admiration for the creative process.

Prezident – PROTOTYPE

After more than year of preparation with Nadace Dagmar and Václav Havel Vize 97 we have prepared original and limited edition of PRIM Tourbillon. We have produced several prototypes of the unique PRIM Tourbillon Prezident for the anniversary of 80th birthday of Vaclav Havel.

VIZE 97, however, surprisingly decided at the last minute not to use the watch commercially. So we decided to give these unique prototypes to selected collectors
