PRIM TRAKTOR

It’s not exactly a common name for a watch, but it is. This elegant model, a symbol of the 1960s watchmaking school of design, an aesthetic in the truest sense of the word, bears the name tractor.

Why is that?

When it was launched on the market at that time, the watch model immediately became popular and sought after. The dial reminded customers of the shape of a tractor’s rear wheel and the new name was born. It became popular almost immediately and this model, which is still one of the most popular and beautiful in the Czech watchmaking tradition, has remained forever.

Whether it is available in any version, as a limited or open edition, it will impress at first glance. The extraordinary second hand and the typical colored ring are a precise imprint of the work of the watchmakers from the manufactory in Nové Město nad Metují. Of course, the highest type of movement is used, namely an in-house caliber with manual winding, also produced in the manufactory. And because there is something to look at, the “tractors” tend to have a transparent caseback.

PRIM TRAKTOR in this open edition will charm you with everything, like other “tractors”. With a folded dial with a striking contrasting rim, this time in a pleasant navy blue color. The steel body of the watch elegantly matches the silver-colored hands and delicately outlined indexes. The eccentric second hand placed in an imaginary cross refers to the original look and minimalism of this model.

The sleeve inserted into the dial is covered in blue paint by hand, in great detail and precision using HyCeram technology.

Adjusting a watch strap is a challenging task, even though it may not seem like it. The blue tone of this high-quality leather strap with slightly contrasting stitching adds a stylish touch to the entire model and enhances its elegant style. The clasp is decorated with a pictogram symbol.

Inside this model ticks the in-house PRIM caliber 103.00 movement with manual winding. With 19 bearing stones it performs 21,600 oscillations per hour (3Hz). The power reserve is min. 48 hours. Part of the movement is decorated with the PRIM watch pictogram-symbol.

The basic elements of the model remain the imprint of the 1960s. A time, very short, but all the more intense, when creativity and art were desired. Czechoslovak designers and engineers made do with paper and writing utensils. And they created significant works. Some have faded, but some live on in many forms. One of the representatives of the continuation of the excellent and timeless work of the employees of that time is the PRIM TRAKTOR watch model.

Despite their elegance and high social style, they bear the name tractor. The dial, dominated by a colorful circle, in its original design reminded customers of a tractor wheel. And the name, which immediately became popular, was born.

Aesthetically clean design, steel case matching silver-colored hands and contrasting blue wheel typical of this model. Fine-tuning the color of the high-quality leather strap, whose buckle bears a pictogram, gives the entire model a highly luxurious touch.
