About the Collection

Collaboration between the traditional Czech watchmakers and Josef Klíř began during the week-long preparatory camp for the competition Pretty Woman CZ. Although usually dressing the models and competition presenters, the designer also took the opportunity to create a collection of watches that are both original and affordable. So emerged this original limited collection of watches with a contemporary Czech design.

„For various reasons, not all women have the opportunity to wear my clothes. So, I’m glad they can slip on a stylish fashion accessory in the form of these watches, into which I’ve breathed some of my own creative energy,“ enthuses Josef Klír about the collection.

PRIM watches by Josef Klír are intended not only for the finalists of Pretty Woman CZ, but above all for you. The good news for all fashion lovers is that we managed to keep the price low even for this limited collection, making it affordable for everyone. PRIM watches by Josef Klír are offered in a series of three models – two women’s models Pretty Woman and Alcyon, and one men’s model Retrograde.

Josef Klír

Josef Klír (born 12 May 1972) is one of the most famous and most prominent fashion designers in the Czech fashion scene. He graduated from the Secondary Textile School in Liberec, having already begun designing costumes for popular Czech singers and the model Eva Herzigová during his studies. His star has continued its meteoric rise since then. For example, he has designed dresses for Miss CR and SR, costumes for a Black Milk music video and an image party after a joint event between Moet and Christian Dior in Prague. He also dressed Czech TV’s SuperStar competition singers and finalists. He has twice won the Designer of the Year award in the Wedding Dress category.

In 1999, he opened a fashionable studio in Prague’s Lesser Town where he introduced the brand Josef Klír definitely in! and a denim fashion line named JKJ. In 2005, he launched his first underwear collection, only to debut with a Spring 2007 collection a year later at New York Fashion Week. His one-man show in 2006 at the Prague Hilton Hotel was declared the Show of the Year in the Czech Republic.

His sensual, not to say provocative, watches are especially designed for those interested in original fashion, who are not afraid to draw attention. Josef Klír manages to combine seemingly impossible to match colours, patterns, and materials, making the owners these watch models stand out at virtually every social event.

Beneath the sapphire glass is an unusual black dial with turquoise elements and an asymmetrically placed second hand at 6 o’clock. A fashionable multifunctional women’s watch fitted with a mechanical movement with automatic winding and supplied in a high-gloss polished stainless-steel case. The dial is covered with concave sapphire glass and equipped with useful complications, such as a date box, month and day counter, 24-hour clock and daylight indicator. The elegant stainless-steel strap with a low buckle only enhances the watches’ superb dress credentials.

A multifunctional, automatic men’s dress watch indicating the date and dual time. A massive brushed stainless-steel case is covered with a concave sapphire glass, highlighting the unconventional design of the dial with its centrally located second hand and two separate clock dials for setting a second time zone. Also exceptional is the retrograde date indicator at 6 o’clock. The dress character of the watch is perfectly complemented by its low buckle.

Design

We are offering the PRIM JKJ collection in a limited edition of women’s and men’s watches, with a dial in combining turquoise blue and silver. The watches were inspired by fashion trends and the design of one of the Czech Republic’s leading designers.
